Today was primarily filled with the kids medical appointments and a little shopping at Aenon (Grocery store near Garden Hotel) and some Uno fun.
Both kids did well with the medical appointments.
Emma needed two immunizations and Fei Fei one, so it wasn't too bad.
But, here is my question...The doctor examined Emma up and down and took down a ton of notes. She kept documentation from her file. I was told that this medical is primarly for immigration? So more for the US side? I'm not sure, but the questioning and note taking on her seemed to go on forever. I wonder why suddenly as she is about to leave, they need to take down so many notes. Prior to this they did nothing medically for her other than her first surgery.
Ok, mama bear moment, but it was kind of irritating.
This was th Jiu Mao Jiu 九毛九 restaurant ---yummy noodle/dumpling restaurant not far from the Garden Hotel in GZ. We ate here twice and it was some of my favoirite food on the trip. The kids loved it too. Homemade noodles and freshly made dumplings per order. The way we ate at most meals was to put the pile of food in the middle of the table and just go at it...and if you put a particluar dish in front of you that you ordered, it usually got "attacked" by somone else at the table...lol.
Let's just call this guy the "noodle man". Every meal ... noodles. And usually spicy things added to them.
We had a few tears tonight from our sweet Emma so we decided to go for the "distract" and destroy technique. We taught them Uno. First round, first hand and she nailed it and was showing Fei Fei what to do when he got a little confused. It did NOT take long for them to get the hang of it and understand what "skip" means or "Draw 4". lol
Fun times. Lots of laughter and fun.
my personal translation of this picture of Emma...
"you gave me what?"or "I'm gonna get you for that"
Isaac says, "no way"
and another day is done.
a few tears from Emma in the evening.
But, eventually sleep.
