My big brother Scott came to visit last week.
We had such a great time and really packed in a lot of fun around Atlanta...
First stop...Coke Museum.
Since he is a flavor scientist this intrigued him.
First stop...the Vault---where the secret recipe is stored.
One of the displays involved mixing just the right flavors together to get the perfect coke.
Being the flavor scientist he is, he took a shot at it. You turn the dials to just the right spot between several options.
Sweet/Spicy...Bold/Mild...etc.
and
Look what he got....
"Somewhat Refreshing"...
I've NEVER seen anyone get anything but
"try again" or "maybe next time" etc.
BUT
The flavor guy GOT IT!
at first he thought I was joking with him, but I wasn't...
Lucas had a blast with the polar bear this day too. He was very entertaining. I've never seen him with quite that amount of personality before either.
and of course there was the flavor testing...
The next day we hit the Aquarium....
One of the Buluga whales is expecting a calf sometime later this spring...
Lucas snapped a few pictures.
cousins being silly...
sting rays...
The next day we headed to Amicalola Falls...for a little hiking...(600 stairs and a steep grade hill)
Look closely at that green leaf-looking thing...it's actually a butterfly....
cousins
Lucas did many of the stairs himself. We were stunned how far he went without assistance.
my very handsome "big boy" was along... I love dis boy...
at the top of the falls there was a creek heading into the falls....Lucas thought walking barefoot in the creek would be fun and his sweet cousin Brooke was patient enough to assist. The water was like ice, but of course Lucas couldn't feel THAT on his feet....(poor Brooke's feet were bright red when they were done)
My big brother...isn't he handsome???
and to end the hike---a little picnic lunch...
The next day we did church and then off to Zoo Atlanta....
nice one Peter...
Lucas took this one...=)
that's one happy goat...
the boy wanted to try to climb the rock wall....he got about 1/3 of the way up--but I think it was more a fear of heights than anything. He did great!
Azaleas are in bloom...
and just as pretty...my sweet niece...(she was born smiling...)
Overall a great and very busy 4 day visit...=) Can't wait till they come back again...more adventures to be had.
