Do you remember the movie Avalon?

If not it is a great movie from 1990.  Highly recommend it.

It's about Polish-Jewish immigrants to the U.S.

Last night as we drove home from the airport, Peter recalled that movie.  There were fireworks exploding in the sky over Atlanta.  In the movie the immigrants were fascinated by the fireworks display on the 4th of July and the symbolism of all America means.  In this case it was for the opening season of the Atlanta Braves.  But, it felt as though the fireworks were there just for our sweet boy.  He saw them and his eyes just lit up.  We could see them for quite a while and he was transfixed by them.

Thank you Jesus for this sweet little celebration and welcome to America over the skies of Atlanta for our boy...=)
