WE ARE HOME!!!!

April 9, 2011 (I think)

WE ARE HOME!!!!!!!!

Left the hotel at 5:30 a.m. China time 4/8
took 2 cars
3 airplanes
3 airports
2 trains
18 hours of inflight time
6 hours of layovers
4 rounds of security
1 round of Customs
and immigration of our son (He is officially a U.S. CITIZEN!!)

arrived home 11:30 p.m EST 4/8

coca cola and french fries in Korea...

like having an infant, a very curious toddler, a school aged child and a teenager all wrapped into one very "little" body.

He has explored, pounded, slept (about 2 hours since we got home), chased the dog, eaten the cat (ok not really), eaten noodles, strawberries, mnm's, oranges and water, taken several shelves of books in his room apart and re arranged them, removed toys from boxes in his room and put them back again, played songs on 'flutes' we gave him (WHAT were we thinking??), run up and down the stairs, climbed into bed with us, played with fireplace tools, gone in and out the back patio door at least several dozen times.....the list goes on.  BUSY BUSY BUSY!!! and we've been home about 9 hours.

Peter, Isaac and I feel like a truck ran over us, but Mr. Buster slept about 12 hours of our trip home so he is WIDE awake and into everything.  CURIOUS!!!!  that's the word of the day!

We were picked up at the airport by a sweet friend Laurie McCune who has the patience of a saint as we loaded all of our JUNK into her poor car.

Arrived home to a fully stocked refrigerator, Pepsi on the counter, flowers on the island, a bowl of yummy fresh fruit, and warm welcoming signs created by good friends (Fedele's???perhaps?--)

We are truly blessed ---- and a tad Jet Lagged with a very active boy.  Right now he has the fireplace tools out on the back deck and is sweeping the deck and .....  maybe I should go check on that....
