The Great Wall of China

Today we worshiped our God at a church in Beijing (for non-chinese only).  We were blessed to join in worship with this congregation.  I do have to say it felt a little weird, because even our guide could not go to church with us.  We sang a song called "Never Let Go" (Matt Redman) and Glory to God.  Both of these songs have been such a blessing.

I was brought to tears because I'm reminded of God's faithfulness and how God is faithful to see us through the impossible.  We are living in the middle of experiencing things that I never even imagined 10 years ago.  And we are entering into a new life that may seem impossible but we know God will see us through.

After the church service we went to a Jade Factory/store and we bought a little jade.  Then on to the Great Wall of China.  Peter, Isaac and I climbed and climbed and climbed for over 1/2 hour.  Let me just say this section of the wall is STEEP!!  I may be a tad sore tomorrow.   But, we had a blast and the scenery was breathtaking.
Take it in....

Afterward we ate dinner, and headed off to a Chinese Acrobat show.  Can I just say, the way those people contort themselves is just "wrong".

Tomorrow is the "Big Day"--we meet our boy face to face.  In the adoption community some people call this "Gotcha Day" or "Family Day".  We leave Beijing in the morning, fly on a plane to the capital city of Inner Mongolia, Hohhot.  My understanding is the process is brief tomorrow.  Tuesday it's a little more "official" paperwork.
