We MET our BOY via a Phone Call today!!!! and a NAME...

I'm just gonna launch with the AMAZING unexpected "gift" we received today.  First the day started with me being able to have a 15 minute phone conversation with Joni, one of the teacher's we have been so blessed with who had gone into the orphanage to teach english.  It was so sweet to speak to her on the telephone.  Everything we've done up to this point has been over email only.  I was on the edge of tears of gratitude for all she has done for us.  How could I possibly show her enough gratitude?  It may sound like no big deal to have this connection but it IS!  So we are extremely grateful.

She surprised us by telling us she was going to the orphanage today, taking tons of pre-adoption pictures, and that she would call us sometime today and have SunWan talk to us......
YES, TALK TO US!!!!!
So, as we toured and shopped today, we were slightly distracted not knowing at what time she would call. (we have an international sim card in my phone---our best investment thus far).
As time would have it at about 3:20pm we were at the Summer Palace walking on the Marco Polo Bridge and my phone rang.  I looked and it was Joni calling.  My heart began to race.  She was so cheerful and said "I have someone here that wants to talk to you"....
I was so excited!!!!
My heart was racing
and
I think my voice got really loud because a bunch of chinese people gave me funny looks.
I'm totally chuckling as I'm writing this because it was so precious and funny...
I wish I could have taped the conversation to share with all of you.
The first thing he said was "MOM!!!"  that was really LOUD and crazy sounding....and then I think he was laughing or something.  It was very funny!!!  I was cracking up!  Then he said "I LOVE YOU!"  that was loud  and crazy!  He was so excited and totally goofy!  Joni said he had the biggest grin on his face as he was talking to us...and we could hear in the backround that he sounded like he must have been bouncing around all over the place.  Joni said he kept holding the phone upside down!  LOL!!!! Totally cracked me up!

He talked to Peter, and screamed "DA"! and giggled, etc. and then "I LOVE YOU!"

Isaac was next...
Ge Ge (sounds like "gu gu") is the word for brother in Chinese.
So he kept saying that to Isaac.

Can I say his enthusiasm was contageous???
Oh my goodness, it was one of the sweetest moments of my life.

I just get such a tickle inside everytime I think about it and how I must have made a scene on that bridge today.

We did a lot of site seeing also and shopping but right now it all seems so insignificant.  I will share that in another post.  But I think this post needs to be specifically dedicated to this amazing gift we were given today.

this is the Marco Polo Bridge where we received the call today at 3:20 pm

Isaac meeting his new wild and crazy brother

I'm so thankful to God for His perfect timing and gifts he gives.

And...
We asked Joni to tell him our three top names and ask him what he likes best
Adam
Nathan
or
Lucas

And the winner is.........

LUCAS SunWan Jundt

I will make another post with pics about the details of our touring today, but this was the real heart of our day so I had to share this first.
