The day started with "breakfast-to-go" from Oma...which consisted of a ziploc container filled with her vinegar and oil potato salad...I would have taken a picture, but we didn't even make it to the highway before he had completely pounded it and it was gone!
Oma laughed when I called her from the road to tell her.
With a full belly we were off to Lifest in Oshkosh, WI.
We arrived in the afternoon with 15,000 of our closest friends ...gathered together to "Party With a Purpose". Music, Speakers, Fun, and Camping meld together to make for some fun times and great memories. Going there brought back many memories of times our family camped for the entire week and enjoyed the whole weekend. This time we didn't camp, but introduced Lucas to the craziness....
We met up with my friend JK and she has a whole bunch of neices and nephews and Lucas blended right in...
Lucas had a particular sweetness for her neice Hosanna...=)
Matthew West on stage...
Me 'n my boy...
JK's brother Paul---also went to college with him...totally lovin' Lucas and taking on the roll of "shoulder holder" for the boy during the concerts.
We went back to JK's sister's house --arriving about 11:30pm and Lucas slept in a camper with 3 other boys...ooo ya---I think he got about 7 hours of sleep, Recall, this boy requires a good 10-12 per night, so the next day was a tad challenging. But, didn't stop him much...
