Fun with Aunt Linda and Uncle Paul - day 2

Could a boy pack more into a day? July 2---
Aunt Linda and Uncle Paul have been crazy fun for Lucas.

Paul took a day off work on Monday (7/2) just to spend time with us.
At first when we got here, Lucas was unsure about the fact that they don't have any toys here.  But, that issue was resolved quickly when he realized Uncle Paul had an office and in addition to that a cool old typewriter.  Then the phone calling began to the "police station" and "fire station".  Uncle Paul was fully engaged for hours of play.

Here is an example of some of the chatter...One on one phone and one on the other.

Uncle Paul :  "I'm a police man.  I want to go eat Dunkin' Donuts.

Lucas:  "No You cannot.
Stop eating Dunkin' Donuts."

Uncle Paul:  "I'm a police man you can't tell me what to do."
Lucas was certain to take charge of the situation and gain some control over this unruly police officer.

-----
later there apparently was a Bad Guy Cowboy...
so there was a phone conversation going on between the two of them about it.
Uncle Paul was telling Lucas to come help him because there were "bad cowboys" attacking.
Lucas told him...
"No matter how you feel Trust God"
(He went to VBS a few weeks ago and whenever anyone is worried or anxious about something he tells them this--and apparently even if there are "bad cowboys" attacking you should Trust God!)
Tooo precious, and funny at the same time!

After that they took him Horseback Riding and Trout Pond Fishing.
I stayed home and...Baked Bread---I brought all my stuff along because they wanted 16 loaves for their freezer.  It was a nice day for me too and fun for Lucas to have his aunt and unlce all to himself.

He came home with a crazy toy machine gun thing.

Then of course he drove the boat 2 times.
And my brother Scott and his family came over for dinner.
After eating we went out on the boat again and Lucas got brave enough to jump in the water in the middle of the lake off the pontoon boat.  He had an audience of 9 adults watching him and he totally ate up the attention.  First we threw a ball and had him "go fetch"..lol  and then he figured out that we could all have the privelege of throwing him into the water. It was hysterical.

Here are some pics from the day...

  1. Can't wait to see you both. How long are you going to be in FdL? You brought your bread stuff??? I like your bread!!! I had hoped maybe I could give Lucas his first ride, but if you are here for a few days, perhaps his second. No trout in our pond though. What fun pics.
